Greetings Fellow Doorkeepers
It has been my honor and privilege to complete my first year as State President. I am thankful to God to have brought us thus far. I am grateful to all of the officers and members of this organization. This past year has been a learning experience. There have been so many wonderful moments as serving as State President. I am looking forward to our upcoming Mid-Winter conference January 27-28, 2012 hosted by the Northern District Ushers and our 71st State Convention in June 2012 hosted by Citrus Valley District.
My goals for this organization are:
- Bring our organization into the 21st Century. Become digitized. Having our forms and information available on the web. Including looking into developing and on-line school of ushering course.
- Preserve our History with our archives which will now be the Ushers Center in the Southern “Mother Region”
- Mentor our children. I am encouraging each usher to mentor just one child in your church or at our District or State level. Encourage our youth to get involved. Our children are our future.
As we start our new school year I encourage all ushers to attend school. Our school is the heart of this organization. I envision future growth of our organization as our schools grow. Each of us has a role in promoting our church ushering. I solicit your prayers, your ideas and your view and suggestions.
Yours in Christ
Pamela Jamison,
State President
